Only now then I realise how stupid n incapable I am.
People thought I knew alot but in actual fact, those that I know are insufficient for me to get a professional job. Those are all crap knowledges.
Oh my! I should really change my mindset, my views of things to get things done, to get what I want. Changes hurt but in order for the changes to take place, sacrifices are necessary, I need to accept e sacrifice.
Take a step forwards, at least be courage enough to make the first step. You never try, you never know.

Cannot Understand
It had been 3 months since we stayed here. Good one! We loved!!
Mr Tay is in his 2nd month to his new job, so far so good..
His r/s with his family esp his mum got better, no crush in work = peaceful mother and son r/s. His mum commented last week that his dad has not visited the new place since then till now.
Thus he arranged no work on last sat, planned for his parents visit and then to dim sum buffet at Thomson Plaza, Peach Garden, also celebrate in advance for mother's day/
End result -- His dad do not want to eat, good intention = dun want him to spend the $$, bad intention which I have = the elder one isnt happy with the younger one for his leaving of work thus dun want the interaction.
So 1 down, we thought then we go ahead with his mum and sister + BF then. Who know the sister said in that case she will stay home to accompany dad (like real) + BF still working at site. So he called up his mum. In e end, the mum is somewhere settling something with her sister, not coming over, cant go makan too! Nobody bother to call and tell and let us make all the preparation + booking etc. Its spoilt our weekend!
I cannot understand why is it so difficult to sit down together for a meal. Talk about old traditions, who isnt giving people chance to practice it. Why must make life so difficult for others?
If the same situation will to happen at my side, I believe we will have gone for the meal and have a happy time.
I cannot understand why there are things more important to family times. Actually I do not understand alot of their concepts anyway. Why bother?!

Updates - 091013 again on 100113
FSM had advised shifted in date to be on 30th Jan.
An Chuan got to be done on 27th Jan which is a sunday and I am so glad it is a sunday!
Current stage of house:
1. Floor and wall tiles are fully up and done.
2.Delivery of sanitary wares was either ytd or done today. They will be fix up once delivered. Fixed up!
3.Parquet flooring delivery date is tomorrow and then will be laid. After that, we need to wait for a week for it to dry thus no work to be done in bedrooms till next thurday.Laying done. Pending for polishing next week
5.Plaster ceiling will be done up today. Pending gas pipe installation tmr.
6. Delivery of lighting next tuesday and fix up.
7. Furniture and bedding will be delivered on 22nd Jan 2012.
Current pending outstanding that I am not sure of the dates are:
1. Painting work. Color choose but dunno when will it be paint
2. window grill - not choose
3. Main door and bedroom doors not choose
4. Curtains not choose
5. Carpentary work confirmed but measurement not taken and work not commence if I am not wrong.
6. Plants have not get.

Pending floor tiles for common toilet, yard n kitchen, parquet for bedrooms.
Aircon units are up but din take pictures as i forget and anyway its too dark.
Had a quarrel with him over e FSM, choosing of move in date. I shld have swallow my wordd now and dun talk things back but too bad... He cant let go even till this morning. I doubt he will be ok tonight. Fine then. I shall keep my mouth shut. Nothing out of my mouth seems right anyway. I will SHUT UP!

Last day of the year 2012
Its shopping time for us. Just nice Mr Tay not working so we went to Alex's shop for lighting shopping.
Spent ard $2k on e whole house lighting, with dunno how many down lights n led lights. All i rem is kitchen and both toilets will be using led lights. We need led lights in both toilets partly due to we are advise to always leave a light on in each toilet.
We choose the round crystal light for dinning, e round cane one for living room. The picture ahow a darker shade, i think ours is in cream color. The below one is for bar top table which will be slimmer n in 5 pendants instead of as show as I forget to take a pic at the shop and i cant find a same one online.
Delivery will be on 15Jan. Furniture delivery is on 22Jan so i think we are only ready to shift

Updates on 30 dec 2012
The tiles are delivered on 27 dec 2012 thus the work progress is consider fast.
The wall tiles of both toilets are up. Living room has only one line of tiles up. Pending floor tiles are not done. All electric wires had been tear down, waiting for re wiring. Coming up will be New Year holiday, work will pause again.
Bedroom parquet yet to choose. Dunno when will that be.
Btw we went celini just now and confirm the promo set.
$2998, we got a L shape sofa, 4 chairs + dining table, coffee table and a tv console. We add in $89 to get a bean bag. Tentatively delivery on 22 Jan 2013.

Courts midnight shopping -- Mattress
Forget to update this:
We went Courts Megastore for mid night shopping at around 1230mn on 2/12/2012.
It is to celebrate our one decade anniversary as well as they happened to open 24 hours that day to celebrate their re-opening after a renovation. How lucky are we?!
We were looking at sofas, dining set and most important matter: mattress!
Looking back then, we had tight budget when we just shifted into Sengkang. We just anyhow bought a spring mattress to sleep till 2007.
Then we went to buy a mattress from Seahorse. Quality is good! but then its abit too hard for us. Only now then we realised that for side sleeper, a softer mattress is more suitable. A hard mattress is more suitable to back sleepers which both of us arent.
This time round, we promise ourselves that we shall get a good mattress to ensure a good night rest.
Best will be of hotel feel! lol
In the end, we bought a Sealy mattress model: Quiver. King Size! Woohoo! can roll on the bed liao! haha...
Thickness is ard 12inch.
Its the least expensive in the prestige range but still cost us around $3.7K after discount.
Freebies including 2 hollow fibre pillows and 1 king size mattress protector.
If there is no free bed frame promotion coming up, we will need to buy a bed frame then.

Reno had started.Hacking had beeb completed. Today cement screeding will start. Then will be waiting game -- cement acreed to dry before work can proceed.

Our friend who lived in next block told us that actually her dad knew the ex-owners of this flat. Of cos he doesnt know by the name, they knew in the sense that they freq the coffeeshop below and started talking.
Recently he mentioned that long time nv see 'A'(e ex owner) so Auntie B told him cos A shifted liao. Then he said he din even know where A is staying. so Auntie B told him that A stayed where and thus he suspected its the ex owners. We thought A will be the husband, end up A is actually the wife! They need to sell the house is simply because the husband's business had failed and thus they need to sell the house.

We lived in a (unpaid) rented room.
Every day, we will reached home, up to the room, bath, down to kitchen to pass the dirty clothes.
Then back to the room and stayed there.
When the time come, we will hit the bed.
Then when morning arrived, wake up, to the toilet, change and out we go.
The cycle repeat the following day.
And it will repeat till at least another one more month.
Hope the place will be ready by 15th Jan 2013 and there will be a suitable date for us to shift in within the 1st 2 weeks of Jan. Not later than that..
Then back to the room and stayed there.
When the time come, we will hit the bed.

Delayed
Just gotten the Dong tu date from the FSM and it is 14th DEC 2012!!
Hai.. delayed delayed delayed!! That is like one month after we gotten the keys then we are renovating the house!
How?! Dun think it will be ready by Xmas!
But if things are going to be smooth based on the right date, let keep to that and hope everything will be smooth moving on!

Small progress
It had been a week since we gotten the keys.
Things we had done:
1. Open door ceremony on Friday 16/11/2012
2. Change the lock of the letter box - The sellers were idiots! They kept a key to the letter box despite our disagree so we just change it then. They can jolly well keep the key as soveniour
2. Fengshui Audit done on Friday 16/11/2012 -- Toilet need to have red as much as possible as per advise by FSM. Basically the whole house theme will be creme, brown, red and grey. Grey and red mostly in toilet. Then door need to be tilt. Need to put 4 tall plants outside to block the sharp corner of the school opp us. 2 small plant name luo han at the side of the main door.
3. tiles selection done on Friday 16/11/2012 -- white marble looking tiles in the living room, grey wall tiles in masterroom toilet with red mosaic at the shower area. white wall tiles in kitchen and common toilet with red, orange and gold mosaic at the shower area.
4. Electric and water supply turn on on Saturday 17/11/2012
5. Bathroom and kitchen accessories selections done on Sunday 18/11/2012. -- total cost $4,809
6. We bought some electrical appliances at Gain City with Mr Siew's intro
- Samsung side by side door fridge at $1, 400 (free CBTL or $150 grocery vouchers)
- Samsung Front load 7kg washing machine at $740 (Free CBTL or $150 grocery vouchers)
- LG 47" 3D smart LED TV at $1880 (Free blue ray player, skape camera, 4 pairs of 3D glasses with additional 4 pairs throw in by the salesman)
- LG sound bar at $330
Total is $4350, redeemption of $100 voucher of UNI$$ so we paid $4250.
Heard renovation permit had been applied. Dunno when will it be approve and dunno when hacking will be done although our ID (Mr Tay's uncle) said should be able to done up by Xmas time. Hope so!
