Our new nest settled

On the first viewing on 13 May, we came to know that the owner is asking for 45K COV on top of the val 414K
We are not willing to pay that much basing on the house condition.
Major renovation will be needed.
So we went on to view other units, not to our liking.
We still like this one most.
So we went for the 2nd viewing ytd, we neg with the owners etc.. Actually not me, mostly done by Mr Tay and the agent.
We came to a conclusion of 31K cov.
We paid a $1K deposit, waiting for 4of Jun to excerise the option to purchase.
Reason being the owner request to move out only in mid of Nov. We agreed to that so first appt for this new place will only be in Sep12.
Hope to start reno ASAP when we take over the place and hope we can move in by end of 2012, celebrate Xmas, New Year count down! haha...

Oh btw, above picture show the view taken at the corridor of the unit. It is a skyline view! As the area is close to Changi Airport, all the flats and condo around the area are all quite short, given 9th floor or 10th floor the highest. So thus we got the view!

It is actually about 5 min walk to Tampines Mart! There are Watson, Guardian, Shop and Save, Mac, Pizza hut, KFC, 1 Food Court, 1 Coffee shop and a Wet Market there!!

We're Shifting!!

Its been a long time since my last post.. Wow..

Dunno what to write actually.

On 8th May 2012, we signed on the Option to purchase form, under the seller's column.

Yes, we sold our flat! Our 1st flat that we stayed for 8years..

Technically, we are still staying there but we had received the $5k deposit so we are waiting for our 1st appointment to follow up the sales.

Actually we had been trying to sell since last year Dec11 but the process did not run smooth.

There were lots of hipcups till I wonder, can the flat really be sold off one fine day?!

Why sell? Cos we feel that changes need to be make in order to get things moving.

This is one of the changes and we hope and wish, it is a good and correct move.

We are now looking for resales flats at TAMPINES!

YES! Back to TAMPINES where I had stayed since 5yrs old.

Hope the flats searching will not take long as we hope to keep the time frame within so that we will not be homeless too long.

Was informed few days back, first appointment date is 5th July. 2nd appointment date should be soon after the 1st appoint. Chinese believe no shifting during 7th Lunar month, so latest by 16 Aug, we will shift out of our current place.

We will need a temp lodging before we find the new place + reno.

Meanwhile, Dad and mummy are taking in the dogs. They cant bear them to stay in Pets hotel. Haha..
